Bangor police are asking for the public's help in finding the man who robbed a local laundromat Wednesday night.

The incident occurred shortly before 9 p.m. at Gold Star Cleaners at the corner of Third and Union streets.

Police say the man told the clerk he had a gun but a weapon was never displayed during the robbery.

Police didn't say if he got away with any cash.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5-feet-8-inches tall with a medium build. He's believed to be over 50 years of age and sporting a gray goatee.
