Bangor Police are investigating two robberies that happened in just over five hours overnight.

The first robbery happened at 11:40 Sunday night at 1187 Union Street. Police say no one was hurt and no weapon was displayed when a male suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money. Responding officers searched the area but were not able to find the suspect.

The second robbery occurred just before 5 a.m. at 96 State Street. Like the first robbery, a male suspect did not display a weapon but made off with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was hurt. Again, officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division are following up on both cases and their investigations are ongoing. It's not known, at this point, if the two robberies are connected.
