Bangor Man Dies From Injuries In Speedboat Crash

A Bangor man who was critically injured in a Massachusetts speedboat collision has died.

The crash happened Saturday afternoon on a pond in Taunton, Massachusetts. 21-year-old Stephen Joy of Bangor, 72-year-old Alex Poliakoff of Richmond, and 39-year-old Mark Greene of New Hampshire were all thrown into the water when their boats collided during a regatta. Greene died at the scene, while Joy sustained serious injuries that left him in critical condition. Poliakoff had minor injuries.

WABI-TV reports that Joy died Wednesday from his injuries in a Rhode Island hospital.
