Bangor Police have arrested a local man for allegedly firing several shots from a gun near his Adams Street apartment.

The BDN reports that police were called to the area of Essex and Adams Streets at around three o'clock in the afternoon by neighbors who reported hearing four or five gunshots. One Essex Street resident told police they looked behind their home and saw a naked man with a gun.

Responding officers were led to Stewart Gramlich, age 29, who was inside his 17 Adams Street apartment. Gramlich turned himself over to police at 3:45 without incident and was taken into custody. He was not wearing a shirt when he was arrested. Gramlich faces a charge of reckless conduct with a firearm, which may be elevated to aggravated after the police investigation is complete.

Police say Gramlich has not given them a reason behind the incident. Investigators will get a warrant to search the man's apartment, where they believe any firearms involved in the incident.
