Bucksport police are investigating a double shooting that happened last night on Route 46. Few details have been released, but police say a suspect is in custody and there’s no danger to the public. There’s no word on how badly the victims were hurt.

Two pit bulls ordered by the Supreme Court to be euthanized are on the run after their owner reported them missing on Tuesday. The dogs were given the death sentence after they escaped their backyard and attacked and killed another dog and have been held at the Waterville humane society ever since. The Anah Shrine in Bangor is hosting a trunk or treat night for kids that uses table space inside the building rather than car trunks in the parking lot. Each space is decorated and kids can travel from table to table, gathering goodies.. A Veazie woman has collected more than a thousand hats, mittens, and scarves for folks in need in the greater Bangor area. Louise Cunningham told TV-5 she started the organization, hats for the homeless, on a whim, asking for donations on Facebook, and was amazed at the response, with knitted items coming from as far away as New Zealand.
