Bangor Police are looking for a black car they say was responsible for a series of accidents on the interstate yesterday that injured two people. They say the vehicle cut off another driver on the northbound side, causing a three-vehicle accident, and then crossed the median to the southbound side where it caused two more cars to crash. Police say they have the license plate number and are now searching for the vehicle.

Bowdoin College is moving a Confederate memorial plague from a school lobby to the archives and special collections of the college's library in the wake of deadly, race-fueled clashes in Charlottesville, Virginia. The college president said Saturday that the school has concluded that historical artifacts "that are directly tied to the leadership of a horrible ideology are not meant for a place designed to honor courage, principle, and freedom."

The American Folk festival kicks off at 7:00 Friday evening with a parade led by the Pride of Maine Marching Band. There will be music, food, and culture from around the globe on the Bangor Waterfront and organizers want to remind those who stop by that it costs money to bring all those entertainers to town. Folks are encouraged to consider the suggested 10 dollar per day entry fee and give generously to the bucket brigade.
