An 83-year-old woman from Milbridge who was reported missing yesterday has been found safe. The Warden Service hasn’t commented about where Suzanne Hubbell was found, but said she was discovered by search and rescue dogs.

A Dover-Foxcroft woman is alive today thanks to the efforts of two police officers who worked to free her from her burning car. The woman was trapped , so Chief Ryan Reardon used extinguishers to keep the flames in the engine compartment while Sargent Todd Lyford freed her from the car. The woman suffered injuries to her head and shoulder but is going to be okay.

Actor Patrick Dempsey is not asking for money, and has taken to social media to inform his fans of scammers who are using social media to solicit money, allegedly for his Dempsey cancer centers in Lewiston and Portland. A gathering at Colby College this week is working to connect young adults from around the world whose lives have been touched by terrorism. Project Common Bond joins children who lost loved ones in the 9-11 attacks with young people from other countries impacted by terrorism or war. Organizers say they picked Maine because it’s beautiful and peaceful, the perfect setting for healing.
