Augusta Woman Pleads Guilty After Crashing Into House
An Augusta woman has pleaded guilty to driving into a house while under the influence of drugs and while her 17-month-old daughter was in the vehicle.
Heidi Everson, 42, pleaded guilty Tuesday to operating under the influence of intoxicants, endangering the welfare of a child and assault.
The Kennebec Journal reports Everson has been ordered to serve an initial 50 days in jail followed by two years of probation. She also received concurrent seven-day jail sentences for pleading guilty to violating conditions of release.
Following the crash in Waterville last May, Everson told police she had taken central nervous system depressants.
