Two Augusta residents and a New York man were arrested on drug trafficking charges when local police and Maine drug agents executed a search warrant at an Augusta home Thursday.

The warrant, which was granted based on information gathered during an investigation into the sale and distribution of heroin and crack cocaine, was executed at an apartment on Mt. Vernon Ave., Augusta police said in a news release Thursday night.

Over 7 grams of crack cocaine and more than 5 grams of heroin were seized when the home was searched, the release said.

Donald Morang Jr., 36, of Augusta, was arrested on 4 counts of aggravated trafficking schedule W drugs. His bail was set at $50,000 cash.

Nicole Truman, 33, of Augusta, is charged with 2 counts of unlawful trafficking scheduled W drugs. Her bail was set at $25,000 cash.

Steven Joiner, 21, of Rochester NY, faces 2 counts of unlawful trafficking scheduled W drugs and his bail was set at $50,000 cash.

The suspects were transported to the Kennebec County Jail.

Police say information provided by the public led to the arrests.
