Augusta Police Rescue Fawn Stuck In Soccer Net

Augusta Police responded to an unusual call Wednesday, when they got a report of a fawn stuck in a soccer net.

No one was yelling 'GOAL!' when this fawn found its way into the net at the Piggery Road soccer fields. But someone called police and asked for some help. The dear officers not only freed the deer, but they named her Cristiano Ronaldoe!

Can't you just hear the conversation when Officers Nyberg and Roodman went home?

• Q: What did you do at work today, dear?
• A: I made a deer rescue, dear.
• Q: You saved a dear female, dear?
• A: No! It was a female deer, dear!
