Augusta Police Investigating Report Of Gunshots

The Augusta Police Department is investigating a report of shots fired Sunday afternoon.

Officers were called to 965 South Belfast Avenue just after 3:00 Sunday, after someone in the area notified them that they heard several gunshots. Police searched the house and the surrounding property and then turned the investigation over to detectives. Police say there were no injuries reported and, so far, no arrests have been made.

The case remains under investigation.
