MSP

6-month Aleah Peaslee remains in grave condition at Maine Medical Center having been admitted last month with severe injuries police say were caused by being violently shaken.

Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland says the Kennebec County Grand Jury handed up an indictment Friday against a 21 year old Augusta man.

McCausland says Kevin Peaslee is charged with two counts of aggravated assault for allegedly violently shaking the infant girl back on December 21, 2103 causing her severe brain damage and blindness.

Peaslee’s expected to have his initial court appearance this week.
