Search warrants issued at five Augusta locations netted the arrests of 12 people in connection with the sale of heroin and crack cocaine.

Maine Drug Enforcement agents, along with members of the State and Augusta Police Departments and Kennebec County Sheriff's Office executed the search warrants Tuesday morning. The investigation focused on the sale of heroin and crack by out of state drug traffickers using various Augusta locations and included the undercover purchase of heroin from the group.

The locations involved included 42 Mt. Vernon Avenue, Apt. A; 38 Water Street, Apt. 5; 9 Bond Street, Apt. 1; and at 2 rooms inside an Augusta motel. Seized were approximately 50 grams of crack cocaine, 12 grams of heroin, 5 handguns (one confirmed to be stolen), and approximately $4,000 in cash believed to be the proceeds from drug sales. The street value of the drugs is estimated at $10,000.

Charged with Conspiracy to Traffic in Heroin/Crack so far as a result of this investigation:

  • Jordan Ascencio, age 20 of Roxbury, Massachusetts - Class B
  • Sergio Figueroa, age 21 of Roxbury, Massachusetts - Class B
  • Jose Lewis Figueroa, age 24 of Roxbury, Massachusetts - Class B
  • Kidante Roberts, age 21 of Boston, Massachusetts - Class B
  • Emanuel Rocgue, age 39 of Augusta - Class A Aggravated (elevated due to the presence of a handgun)
  • Dalene Black, age 34 of Augusta - Class A Aggravated (elevated due to the presence of a handgun)
  • Philip Theriault, age 43 of Augusta - Class A Aggravated (elevated because the trafficking occurred within a designated 'drug free safe zone')
  • Jessie Clark, age 34 of Augusta - Class A Aggravated (elevated because the trafficking occurred within a 'drug free safe zone')
  • Corey Collamore, age 30 of China, Maine - Class A Aggravated (elevated because the trafficking occurred within a 'drug free safe zone')
  • Dixie Gauthier, age 38 of Wiscasset - Class A Aggravated (elevated because the trafficking occurred within a 'drug free safe zone')
  • Lisa Gosselin, age 41 of Wiscasset - Class A Aggravated (elevated because the trafficking occurred within a drug free safe zone)
  • In addition, 51-year-old Michael Gregg of Augusta was charged with Class C Possession of Schedule W Drugs (he was not charged with trafficking)

All 12 were taken to the Kennbec County Jail. This investigation is ongoing and more arrests are likely.
