State Police say a young Biddeford man has been charged in connection with an apartment house fire in the city that killed two men in September. 

Dylan Lee Collins (18) was arrested early Friday morning and charged with two counts of murder and one count of arson. Collins is accused of setting fire to the multi-family apartment house at 35 Main Street in the early morning hours of September 18th.  Roommates James Ford (21) and Michael Moore (23) both died from smoke inhalation.

Collins was taken into custody Wednesday at his work – Monkey Trunks on the Cascade Road in Saco. He was hospitalized for observation Wednesday night and Thursday at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford. Then Collins was interviewed there by State Police and the State Fire Marshal's Office. Early this morning he was arrested and has been transported to the York County Jail. He’ll make his first court appearance at 1 PM today in York County Superior Court.
