The driver of a tractor trailer has been summonsed after following GPS directions right into a downtown Augusta bridge that didn't have enough clearance.

Augusta Police are advising truck drivers that they must know the clearance of their trailer and of all bridges and overpasses before attempting to go under them. The railroad bridge on Water Street has signs posted, stating the clearance, but several drivers in recent months have chosen to ignore them and listen to the GPS instead.

Officers summonsed the driver of this truck on Tuesday with operating with inadequate clearance and log violations.
