Annual MDA Chili And Chowder Cook Off This Week

Once again it's time to put your taste buds or cooking skills to the test for a great cause.

The Bangor Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 772 7th Annual Chili and Chowder Cook Off is this Friday, March 22, at Hollywood Casino in the Lancaster Ballroom. The event benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Maine.

A $10 donation gets you through the door to sample chili and chowder from local restaurants. Be sure to sample the delicious offerings from the amateur chefs too. They're counting on your vote for the People's Choice award. Firefighters and local celebrities will also make to rounds to vote for the best chili and chowder.

The event kicks off at 6 p.m.
