‘Always On My Mind’–Lovin’ Willie After All These Years

I was so elated when Willie Nelson received the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' from the Country Music Association at the awards ceremony on November 1. It was certainly well deserved.

Many of us have attended at least one of Willie's concerts at the Bangor Auditorium in year's past. I think we all knew even back then that we were hearing a legend of country music. And although he has taken some heat and gotten in trouble for his love of the 'herb,' we all still love him just the same. His music will endure for generations to come.

One of my favorite songs of Willie's is the tune, 'Always on my Mind,' released in 1982. The lyrics are a great lesson for all of us to not take the one you love for granted. Watch the video of a live performance of that awesome song, and then go tell your honey how much you her/him.
