Allagash Brewing Employees Miss Brussels Explosion By Moments

Six employees of Allagash Brewing were just a few minutes away from the Brussels airport when explosions rocked the building today.

Allagash Brewing is based in Portland, but founder Rob Tod and five members of his crew were visiting Belgium this week. Employee Jason Perkins tweeted that the group was just five minutes away from the Brussels airport when the attack happened.

Explosions at the Brussels airport and at a downtown metro station killed at least 26 people and injured scores of others on Tuesday morning. Over 200 flights into and out of Brussels have been canceled or diverted as local officials investigate.
