Teams are needed for an Adult Dodge Ball Tournament in Brewer that will help the family of a woman diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer.

'Dodge Cancer With The Balls' will benefit the Ball Family as they deal with medical and travel expenses while Mom Robin undergoes treatment. Triple negative breast cancer is the worst type there is, with no rhyme or reason to how it behaves in the body. Obviously, this makes it nearly impossible to treat. Robin went into remission for 7 months but, just recently, learned that there is a distant recurrence in both her breast and her lung. Currently, she's taking part in clinical trials in Boston, and staying positive for her husband and young daughter.

Friends and family wanted to find a way to help, so they've organized a fun event that will also raise money to help ease the financial burden for the family. Dodge Cancer With the Balls will be held Sunday, May 15th at the Seacoast United Fields, on the Rudman Road (off Wilson Street) in Brewer.

Participants must be 16 or over, but there will be an activity area for kids. Teams must have 8 to 10 adults and at least two team members have to be female. Registration is $30 per person and ends on May 8th, so sign up now!

Teams are asked to wear a Team T-shirt or costume of their choosing. There will be a prize awarded for best team uniform/costume. Brackets will be posted by May 13th.
