Acadia National Park Celebrates National Park Week with Free Weekend

Hike off the winter blues, and beat the tourists into the park this weekend.

This weekend April 15th-16th Acadia will be fee free for National Park Week. This is your chance to visit the park before large crowds arrive also. The 22nd and 23rd will be free as well for the same reason.

It should be noted the carriage roads are closed to all traffic, including foot traffic, as the road settles and thaws from the winter. Biking, walking or driving on the roads at this time would create deep ruts, and noticeable damage to the road. Updates on their opening will be posted on the Acadia Facebook here.
