No one sings like Johnny Cash. I've been a fan for as long as I can remember. So I was very excited today when I found a new Johnny Cash video on YouTube! Impossible? Watch it for yourself. It's pure Johnny Cash!

A 'new' Johnny Cash album is set to be released on March 25th. 'Out Among the Stars' was actually recorded by Cash in the 1980's, but was shelved by Columbia Records shortly after it was finished. Cash's popularity had waned, as often happens as artists age, so the album was never released.

Director John Hillcoat, who produced this video, told 'The Guardian' music blog that he was very excited to produce the video because he's a life-long Cash fan. He tried to stay true to the image and 'feel' of Cash's music, and incorporate several images of the Man in Black.

The video is meant to combine the alienation of affection Cash was feeling when he recorded it with the economic diversity of the modern world. The images are stark, swinging from the buildings on Wall Street to the plight of the homeless. Filmed in black and white, it's gritty and heavily textured. I'll bet Johnny would have loved it. I hope you do too!
