The 90's at Nine Online today features the beautiful Faith Hill! I think we all miss her voice and music since she took some time off from her career to raise her children. So, here's a Tuesday treat with one of her best songs!

'The Secret of Life' was written by singer/songwriter Gretchen Peters and released by Faith in 1999.The song peaked at number 4 on the American music charts and went to number 2 in Canada.

Mississippi native Faith Hill showed vocal talent early. As a matter of fact, her first public performance was at a 4-H luncheon when she was not-quite-nine years old.

In a 'what were you thinking' moment, Reba McEntire's management team refused to hire Hill as a backup singer. So she went to work for a music publishing company during the day, and sold burgers at McDonald's at night to  make ends meet. It was at her day job that a coworker heard her singing to herself and encouraged her to become a demo singer for the company. And so her exposure to professional singing began!
