The 90's at Nine Online today features one of those artists who had some success in the 1990's, but never really made it into the next decade. David Lee Murphy gave us 'Dust on the Bottle' and this song, 'Party Crowd!'

The tall, dark, and handsome singer was signed to MCA Nashville in 1994, making his debut on the charts with the song 'Just Once.' It was one of the songs on the soundtrack album for the movie '8 Seconds.' David's four albums resulted in thirteen singles, including the number one hit 'Dust on the Bottle' and four others (this one included) that made it into the top ten. He recorded his last album in 2004 for the Koch Record label. It never produced any hits and the company closed shortly thereafter.

While Murphy hasn't recorded since then, he's been very busy making a living as a songwriter. He's co-written several hit songs for other artists including 'Big Green Tractor' for Jason Aldean, 'Living in Fast Forward' for Kenny Chesney, and 'Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not' for Thompson Square.
