If you love the 90's at Nine every weekday on Q-106.5, I hope you'll check back here often for some of the best videos of the 1990's! Video changed the way the world looked at Country Music because, suddenly, artists had to do more than just stand and sing. One of the best video actors of the 1990's was Collin Raye. And this video screams '90's country and the crossover 'pop' feel of it.

'My Kind of Girl' was released in 1994, the fourth single from Raye's CD 'Extremes.' The song debuted at #61 on the Hot Country Singles and Tracks chart and spent 20 weeks on the chart. It became Raye's third number one single in February of 1995, holding the position for one week.

Collin was born Floyd Elliot Wray on August 22, 1960 in De Queen, Arkansas.  His mother was a musician, opening locally for some big names like Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash. As a teenager, Collin joined his brothers' country rock band known as 'The Wray Brothers.' While in that band, Collin went by the name Bubba Wray. I think it was a good decision to change it!
