A 7-year-old boy was killed as the result of a dog attack in Corinna on Saturday, according to police.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Moody Mills Road in Corinna concerning a dog attack at about shortly after 5 p.m. on Saturday. It was then police found that the boy had been killed by the dog.

The dog was impounded.

No other parties were injured in the incident, and police say no more information will be released until Monday.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Mayo Ambulance.
