Three people from Biddeford are facing charges for trafficking in cocaine and crack cocaine.

Maine Drug Enforcement Officials say agents from the MDEA York District Task Force worked in collaboration with the Biddeford Police, in an investigation that involved a number of undercover purchases of cocaine. As part of that investigation, 30-year-old Jeffrey Davis and 27-year-old Kerry Burgess were charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Cocaine, Class A. The charges are considered 'aggravated' because the suspects' apartment is within 1000 feet of the St. James School. Both were arrested at the apartment on Tuesday without incident and taken to the York County Jail where bail was set at $25,000 cash for Davis and $1,000 cash for Burgess.

Also arrested, in an investigation unrelated to the one involving Davis and Burgess, was 32-year-old Charmagn Cody for Aggravated Trafficking in Crack Cocaine, Class A. Since October, drug agents conducted a number of undercover purchases of crack cocaine form Cody, taking place in Clifford Park and Canopy Park in Biddeford, both designated as 'drug-free safe zones,' which elevated the charge to 'Aggravated.' Cody was arrested without incident at her Chapel Street apartment and taken to the York County Jail. Her bail is set at $2,000.

These arrests are unrelated to the huge heroin bust, announced yesterday in Oxford County.
