When Are the 2016 CMT Music Awards?

The 2016 CMT Music Awards will air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena at 8PM ET on June 8. They will (of course?) be broadcast on CMT.

Who's Hosting the 2016 CMT Music Awards?

Sportscaster and television personality Erin Andrews and Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt will host the show. Andrews co-hosted the event in 2015, but 2016 will be Watt's first year as a co-host (although he did help present an award during the 2015 ceremony).

Who's Nominated at the 2016 CMT Music Awards?

Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton and Thomas Rhett are among the country stars with multiple nominations for this year’s CMT Music Awards: Underwood received nods for Video of the Year (“Smoke Break”), Female Video of the Year (“Smoke Break”) and CMT Performance of the Year (“Smoke Break” during her Instant Jam show), while Stapleton earned Video of the Year (“Fire Away”), Breakthrough Video of the Year (“Fire Away”) and CMT Performance of the Year (“Nobody to Blame” at the 2015 CMT Artists of the Year celebration) nominations. Rhett, meanwhile, has nominations for Video of the Year and Male Video of the Year (both for “Die a Happy Man”), as well as for CMT Social Superstar.

Other artists nominated for the 2016 CMT Music Awards include Blake Shelton (Video of the Year and Male Video of the Year, both for “Sangria,” and CMT Social Superstar), Cam (Video of the Year, Female Video of the Year and Breakthrough Video of the Year, all for “Burning House”) and Sam Hunt (Video of the Year and Male Video of the Year, both for “Break Up in a Small Town”).

Who's Performing at the 2016 CMT Music Awards?

The night will be packed with superstar performances: Cam and pop group Fifth Harmony will sing a mashup of their songs “Mayday” and “Work From Home," while Blake Shelton and the Oak Ridge Boys will sing “Doin’ It to a Country Song,” from Shelton’s new record If I’m HonestKeith Urban and tourmates Maren Morris and Brett Eldredge will perform Urban's "Wasted Time;" Billy Ray Cyrus is expected to perform with rock band Cheap Trick, to promote his new CMT series Still the KingCassadee Pope, rapper Pitbull and singer Leona Lewis will take on “Messin’ Around,” Pitbull’s recent collaboration with Enrique IglesiasLittle Big Town will be performing one of the songs from their upcoming Wanderlust album with Pharrell Williams, who produced the project; and Dierks Bentley and Elle King will debut “Different for Girls."

Additionally, Carrie UnderwoodLuke BryanChris StapletonThomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line and Jason Aldean are all scheduled to perform. And the Brothers Osborne, LoCash, Morris and Michael Ray will be performing on the Firestone Stage.

Also during the awards show, Martina McBride is set to premiere her music video for “Just Around the Corner."

Stars of stage, screen and speedway will be presenting trophies at this year's 2016 CMT Music Awards The lineup of presenters include actors Vince Vaughn, Rob Riggle, Joey Lauren Adams, Chad Michael Murray and Madison Iseman; country artists Charles Kelley, Cole Swindell, Dan + Shay, Kelsea Ballerini, Chris Janson and Kellie Pickler; NASCAR driver Danica Patrick; and Cody Alan, Bobby Bones, Billy Gardell and Leona Lewis.

Who's Will Be Attending the 2016 CMT Music Awards?
