It's been a long, tough winter and my bike looks mighty sad out in the garage in the dark and cold. With motorcycle riding season almost here, I like to watch bike videos to get enthused about hitting the road on two wheels again. One particular bike video I found featured a 15 year-old and his quest for his first bike--a Harley Davidson.

Having been brought up to work and earn money for things I desired in life, I really appreciated 15 year-old (at least at the time) Luke Johnson, who worked doing odd jobs and playing the accordian to buy a Harley Davidson motorcycle. His family was supportive in the deal, and applauded his work ethic to get the bike.

This is a great lesson for kids these days. If you want something badly enough, you just have to work hard and save money. There's no secret or shortcut. Get to work.
