Two people are facing charges for allegedly furnishing alcohol to minors and two fourteen-year-old girls are recovering from alcohol poisoning after an incident in Rockland.

Police were first alerted to the incident when a passerby reported that some men were pulling an unconscious girl into a car on Main Street. Responding officers found two 14-year-old girls inside the vehicle. Both were unconscious.

WABI-TV reports 63-year-old Brenda Shepherd and 19-year-old Ryan Newbert are charged with aggravated furnishing of alcohol to minors. Newbert is also charged with aggravated furnishing of scheduled drugs.

The girls were put on life support and flown to Portland for treatment.
